Three-Word Phrasal Verbs

Phrasal verbs หรือ two-word verbs

     คือ การใช้คำกริยาที่ปกติแล้วมีความหมายอย่างหนึ่ง แต่ส่วนประกอบ เมื่อ verb+ preposition or particle มารวมกันเป็น Phrasal verbs แล้ว อาจจะทำให้เกิดความหมายใหม่ขึ้นมาซึ่งอาจจะไม่มีเค้าความหมายของคำกริยาเดิมเลย นิยมใช้กันมากในภาษาอังอ่านเพิ่มเติม

Separable verbs

   คือ การใช้คำกริยาที่ปกติแล้วมีความหมายอย่างหนึ่ง แต่ส่วนประกอบ เมื่อ verb+ preposition or particle มารวมกันเป็น Phrasal verbs แล้ว อาจจะทำให้เกิดความหมายใหม่ขึ้นมาซึ่งอาจจะไม่มีเค้าความหมายของคำกริยาเดิมเลย นิยมใช้กันมากในภาษาอังกฤษ

หลักสำคัญในการใช้ Phrasal Verbs หรือ Two-Word Verbs
1.เมื่อไม่มี direct object ต้องวาง adverb ไว้ติดกับ verb เช่น
   - please come in.

Inseparable Verbs with objects

Inseparable Verbs with objects คือ phrasal verb ที่ต้องอยู่ติดกัน ไม่สามารถแยกจากกันได้ แต่ต้องมีกรรม เช่นLook after เลี้ยงดู Look into สอบถาม ตรวจสอ่านเพิ่มเติม

Inseparable Verbs with no objects

คือ Phrasal verb ที่ต้องติดกัน ไม่สามารถแยกจากกันได้ ไม่ต้องมีกรรม เช่น

      Speed up เร่งความเร็ว               set off ออกเดินทอ่านเพิ่มเติม
